What a Niche Leads website is

It's a website built around a specific service in a specific area, designed to be found by people who are actually looking to get that work done. We own and operate the site. A contractor does the work.

It isn't a directory. Visitors don't scroll through dozens of businesses or compare public profiles. They describe the job they need done, and we handle the enquiry from there.

Two ways enquiries can be handled

Matching

The website takes an enquiry, checks it's genuine and workable, and passes it to one or more suitable contractors who can assess and quote the job.

Exclusive contractor

All qualified enquiries for a service area or category go to a single selected contractor. For the customer, that means speaking with one local specialist rather than fielding several calls.

Which model a given site uses depends on the market and the contractor. We can change how enquiries are routed without rebuilding the website.

Planned enquiry flow

  1. Neutral website Built around one service and area. The website remains independently owned.
  2. Enquiry Someone describes the work they need done.
  3. Qualification The enquiry is reviewed for fit, completeness and serviceability.
  4. Routing It is sent according to the website's current matching or exclusive arrangement.

Matching model

The enquiry goes to one or more suitable contractors who can assess and quote the work.

Exclusive model

All qualified enquiries for that territory or service go to a single selected contractor.

The contractor carries out the physical work. The website is not a public directory, and visitors do not browse or compare contractors.

Planned enquiry flow. A neutral service-and-location website, which remains independently owned, receives an enquiry describing the work needed. The enquiry is reviewed for fit, completeness and serviceability, then sent according to that website's current arrangement. Under the matching model it goes to one or more suitable contractors. Under the exclusive model it goes to a single selected contractor for that territory or service. The routing can be changed without rebuilding the website, and the contractor performs the physical work.

How the commercial side could work

We expect arrangements to vary by market. The options on the table are a monthly fee for an area, payment per qualified enquiry, or a mix of the two. Nothing here is a published price list. We'd rather agree terms once we can both see what the enquiries in a particular market are actually worth.

Where this is up to

Niche Leads is in development, with niche research and validation underway. We publish rankings, enquiry volumes and results when they are real and measurable, and we don't name individual sites before there's a commercial reason to. When there's something worth showing, this page will show it.

Our intention is to build a site, rank it, route enquiries manually at first, and measure what they're genuinely worth before agreeing to any long-term arrangement.
